Please try again later. Verified Purchase. Generally I use one input for guitar and the other with the mono out of my Yamaha piano and, so far, it's worked well. I also have used it with a mic to record acoustic guitar with no issues.

I don't have any noticeable latency and the sound quality seems to be very good. One thing I like maybe this is not unusual but it was new to me coming from a different interface is that I can hear both stuff I'm recording and regular PC sounds out of the headphone out of this device.

With my previous interface I could not do this and had to actually move my headphones to a different output to hear my PC. Overall, it works like it's supposed to and i have no complaints. So this is my, wait for it, 3rd focusrite product. First I owned the scarlett solo and it worked for a few months before giving out.. So I thought, maybe the quality is bad because its not as good of a product since only one mic input and no midi.

Okay so I bite and buy this one. First product I received out of the box was defective and wouldn't even turn on, so I sent it back and got a replacement from amazon.. Fast forward now and one of the mic inputs just stopped working.

No reason,, just stopped. So the product is great when it works but BOY this thing is not built to last. A true money hole. Super easy to use, and picks up great signals. Midi feature is also nice. So my defective unit was able to be replaced by the amazing customer support since it was still within warranty.

Handle with care. I decided to buy this product over the smaller 2i2 just to be able to use the extra line outputs. The device is made of aluminum and the front buttons are made of plastic. The buttons seem a little flimsy and may break if heavy pressure is pressed against them.

Since this device runs from usb power the audio is clean and very little noise is created. The monitoring RCA outputs send clean audio as well. Great product. Doesn't require the actual USB cable that comes with it too short for my usage , I used one I already had that's about 18" longer.

The original unit I received was not picking up any signal on either input. Tried using a half dozen different line cables that work perfectly when plugged into amps.

Did a quick exchange with Amazon, and once the replacement unit arrived I immediately noticed not only did it work properly, but when the PC boots up the gain knobs briefly light up. The original unit wasn't even doing that.

Tried all of the trouble shooting and re-installation of drivers but no go. That original unit wouldn't budge as far as input, but the output worked. Contacted Focusrite in regards to the exchange, quick response with getting the old registration removed. That's pretty good. But that's being critical of cost, not the unit itself. I am brand new to audio interfaces but this was my first choice.

I like the 2 inputs and 4 outputs that this bus powered machine provides. The playback sound quality amazing and clear. All of the knobs and buttons feel well built and the labels are big enough to read from 1 foot away. I will get a microphone in the future but I'm sure this interface will perform well with that. My monitors and sub woofer have no hissing noise while being turned on and connected this interface.

My laptop installed the driver with no problems and everything works fine. I also like the simple green light of indication of it being on, not too bright. After my NI Traktor Kontrol S4 Mk2's built-in audio interface became too unreliable to be trusted, I decided to opt for an external audio interface to use alongside my controller.

I chose this one since it has 2 sets of outputs, which allows you to use one set for cueing, via the headphone jack on the front, and the other set as your main outputs. It works great for this purpose, and I am using one of the inputs for a microphone, as well. It isn't the cheapest option, but it is a quality piece of gear that is backed up by a reputable brand. It also comes bundled with a TON of free software and plugins, even though I couldn't seem to get a couple of them to work on my PC.

Overall I would definitely recommend this interface for the budget home studio or a DJ looking for a solid soundcard.
